Mother Blanket (Wawa Midina)

Inspired in the closest connection Andean mothers have their babies, the “Sikinchi”. We redesigned the OMS Infant Growth Chart and printed it into blankets to help Andean mothers keeping track of their babies development. The designs feel culturally authentic and the information of how big a healthy baby should be, is written in quichua and spanish to simplify facts to Andean mothers. We provided these blankets in comunes. And explain mothers of all ages how to measure their babies, in order to identify future ailments. For centuries babies were carried by their mothers during their first years. Now they will be growing healthy together.
